Born and raised in Japan, Kaori moved to Los Angeles to work as a makeup artist on set for film, television, and commercial projects. Thereafter, she moved to New York City to work on beauty, editorial, and commercial shoots, as well as backstage for the shows at the New York, London, Milan, and Paris fashion weeks. Currently, Kaori is based in New York City.
